5th Grade Gifted & Talented Supply List *****In addition to the general supply list for fifth grade, please make sure your gifted child has the following: • 3-ring binder (2 inch should be fine) • 5 subject dividers • 1 plastic crate (like a milk crate – any color) • 1 roll of duct tape (designs are welcome, but not necessary) • 1 ball of string • 1 package of popsicle sticks • 2 plastic pocket folders with prongs • 2 reams of copy paper (1 white and 1 colored) • 2 parents who are willing to be room moms/dads for the year (my go-to people for planning parties and other activities) • 1 kitchen-sized garbage bag full of clean, recyclable "trash" – such as empty cereal boxes, paper towel rolls, egg cartons, empty jugs (wash them out), Styrofoam, and any other "clean" materials we can use for creating models. Newspapers are not needed at this time. Please do not send any glass items or aluminum cans for safety reasons. Feel free to bring this and the milk crate on registration day for convenience. Thank you so much for purchasing these additional items. I can hardly wait to meet your gifted learner, and I'm very hopeful that our school year will be a success in every way. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer for room parent, please email me at Sincerely, Julie Griffin, M. Ed. 5th Grade Teacher/Gifted & Talented
